1. SFP+ ONU Upgrade

This upgrade is available exclusively to existing ViewQwest XGSPON Broadband customers subscribed to eligible plans (3Gbps, 5Gbps, or 10Gbps) who are either still within their contract period or choose not to renew it.

Customers using a standard modem (Optical Network Terminal (ONT) or Optical Network Router (ONR)) may upgrade to an SFP+ Optical Network Unit (ONU) without the need to sign a new contract or extend their existing agreement.

The monthly subscription fee will remain unchanged after upgrade to the SFP+ ONU.

2. One-Time Cost

The SFP+ ONU comes with a one-time, non-refundable charge of $99.
This fee is for the provision of the SFP+ ONU and does not imply ownership.

3. Return Policy

The SFP+ ONU is classified as Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and functions similarly to your existing modem. Upon receiving your new SFP+ ONU, you’ll be required to return your current ONT/ONR device. If the SFP+ ONU is damaged under normal use, we will provide a replacement unit at no additional cost.

The SFP+ ONU must be returned if the service is terminated or the equipment is replaced.

Failure to return the SFP+ ONU may result in additional fees, in accordance with our Equipment Return Policy.

4. Activate Your SFP+ ONU
Once you receive your SFP+ ONU, please contact our Customer Service team to register and activate your SFP+ ONU with your ViewQwest XGSPON Broadband service.

Recontract-eligible customers can upgrade to the SFP+ Bundle via the ViewQwest Customer Portal .

New customers can sign up for SFP+ Bundles at the ViewQwest Broadband Plans page.

Huawei OptiXstar S800E is a miniature Optical Network Unit (ONU) that can be inserted into the Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) port of a camera or Access Point (AP) to provide 10-Gigabit-capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) access, meeting video or wireless backhaul requirements.
