Important Notes:

1. SFP+ ONU Upgrade
This upgrade is available exclusively to existing ViewQwest XGSPON Broadband customers on eligible plans (3 Gbps, 5 Gbps, or 10 Gbps) who are still within their contract period or who choose not to renew it.

Customers using a standard modem (Optical Network Terminal (ONT) or Optical Network Router (ONR)) may upgrade to an SFP+ Optical Network Unit (ONU) without signing a new contract or extending their existing agreement.

The monthly subscription fee remains unchanged after the upgrade to the SFP+ ONU.

2. One-Time Cost
The SFP+ ONU comes with a one-time, non-refundable charge of $99. This fee covers the provision of the SFP+ ONU and does not imply ownership.

3. Return Policy
The SFP+ ONU is classified as Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and functions similarly to your existing modem. Upon receiving your new SFP+ ONU, you must return your current ONT/ONR. If the SFP+ ONU is damaged under normal use, we will provide a replacement at no additional cost.

The SFP+ ONU must be returned if the service is terminated or the equipment is replaced. Failure to return it may result in additional fees under our Equipment Return Policy.

4. Activate Your SFP+ ONU
Once you receive your SFP+ ONU, contact our Customer Service team to register and activate it with your ViewQwest XGSPON Broadband service.

5. Compatibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring the SFP+ ONU is compatible with their broadband setup (including routers, switches, and other network equipment) before purchase and installation. ViewQwest is not responsible for incompatibility with third-party hardware.

Recommended setup: Use a router or switch with a compatible 10G SFP+ port that supports XGSPON. If your device only has copper Ethernet ports, you will need a compatible media converter or SFP+ transceiver. If you are unsure, check your equipment specifications or contact ViewQwest Customer Service before ordering.

Recontract-eligible customers can upgrade to the SFP+ Bundle via the ViewQwest Customer Portal .

Huawei OptiXstar S800E is a miniature Optical Network Unit (ONU) that can be inserted into the Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) port of a camera or Access Point (AP) to provide 10-Gigabit-capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) access, meeting video or wireless backhaul requirements.
